An Intimate View of Flowers:
Photographs by Amy Lamb
January 13 through July 18, 2003

One particle of dust is raised and the great earth lies therein;
One flower blooms and a universe rises with it. -- Buddhist Text*

For centuries we have sought to understand the universe in all of its wondrous manifestations. A moment captured on film preserves a glimpse into that which is ephemeral or perhaps unnoticed. Flowers reveal forms, structures, and patterns that for me suggest an inherent harmony with the universe. -- Amy Lamb, 2003
